DAE Capital cancels aircraft orders
DAE Capital, the aircraft leasing and financing division of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has reportedly canceled orders for 18 Airbus A320s and seven Airbus A350. DAE had signed a firm contract for the purchase of 30 A 350-900 and 70 A320s. The contract was signed following a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the 2007 Dubai Air Show. The cancellations are valued at USD 3 billion.
DAE has also canceled 10 Boeing 777s and 15 Boeing 787. DAE had ordered 228 Boeing aircraft.
